It is an all-Mexican Final and there will be a new champion to be crowned and a trip to the United Arab Emirates to be clinched. As the Rounds started there were 24 in the beginning and little by little it has been dwindling down to 2.
The Semifinal Round
Semifinal 1: Tigres (MEX) (4) v Whitecaps (CAN/MLS)* (1)
Tigres won the first leg 2-0 and needed a tie or a loss that is not a difference of 2 goals (2-0, 3-1, 4-2, etc.). In the second leg at Vancouver, Tigres won again 2-1, thus winning the aggregate with a score of 4-1.
Semifinal 2: FC Dallas (USA) (3) v Pachuca (MEX) (4)
FC Dallas won the first leg of the semifinal 2-1, and just needed a tie to go to the Final against the winner of the first Semifinal. In the second leg, Pachuca won the second leg 3-1, thus winning the aggregate score 4-3.
Tigres (MEX) v Pachuca (MEX)
The first leg is in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Tigres is at a lower seed because it faced Vancouver the number one seed.
The First Game is on April 18th, 10:00 pm at Estadio Universitario
The second and last game of the cup and the current format will be played in Pachuca, Hidalgo
The game is on April 26th, 10:00 pm at Estadio Hidalgo
* Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto play in the MLS, therefore, they classify as MLS teams which have four bids into the CONCACAF Champions League. The MLS could have 5 if the teams that play in Canada wins the Canadian Cup
