CONCACAF Champions League Update

The CONCACAF Champions League is headed into a new format.

The new format is a two-tier Champions League where there are 2nd to 4th place teams in the Central American Zone and the Caribbean zone of the CONCACAF.

The Teams:

From Costa Rica: LD Alajuelense, Santos de Guápiles FC (originally from Guatemala but forfeited because of corruption, given to Costa Rica)

From Honduras: CD Honduras Progreso, CD Olimpia (originally from Guatemala but forfeited because of corruption, given to Honduras), Platense FC

From El Salvador: CD Anguilla, Allianza FC

From Panama: Chorillo FC (originally from Guatemala but forfeited because of corruption, given to Panama), CD Arabe Unido, CD Plaza Amador

From Belize: Belmopan Bandits

From Nicaragua: Real Esteli FC, CD Walter Ferretti

From the Caribbean: San Juan Jabloteh (Trinidad and Tobago), Central FC (Trinidad and Tobago), Portmore United FC (Jamaica)

Matchup #2:  CD Honduras Progreso vs Chorillo FC

Matchup #3: CD Arabe Unido vs Central FC

Matchup #4: Real Esteli FC vs CD Aguila

Matchup #5:  LD Alajuelense vs CD Olimpia
