CWL Atlanta Groups Revealed

Major League Gaming revealed the four groups that teams were sorted into for the pool play portion of the Call of Duty World League MLG Atlanta event. If you’re on one of the teams that make it into the pools from open bracket play, you best hope you aren’t put in group A. Pool A is stacked, with Faze, who came in first at the

Pool A is stacked, with Faze, who came in first at the Playstation Experience event, Rise, who lost to them in the semifinals, Infused and Enigma6, who have been a very controversial yet successful team. This is a group full of heavyweights and big hitters. Look to it for some close maps and intense matches. It will suck. Pool B is a little bit nicer, with only two really competitive teams, Optic and Splyce. Allegiance is the weakest of the four teams in Pool B, but with Evil Geniuses performing very poorly under such a prestigious name, it could be a pool for upsets. Rounding out the four pools is Pool D. Arguably the easiest pool, this should be a cut and dry prediction. After winning the 2016 call of duty world championship, Team Envyus are the heavy favorites here. While Eunited and Orbit will give them some competition, they should be out of the pool stage unscathed. Fnatic are the fourth team in the pool, and are equivalent to the little brother that always annoyed you. They won’t provide much competition to the other three teams, and it will be a swift beat down once they play them.

The tournament begins on February 10th, and concludes on the 12th. It will be livestreamed on MLG.com, and should be one hell of a show as teams compete for two hundred thousand dollars.
