Daily Fantasy Football Picks Week 2

I typically use FanDuel and like to play GPP tournaments or $5  50/50 games so I try to tailor my lineup to the kind of DFS players I’m likely to be up against. In GPP’s, I like to take high risk high reward players with low ownership to maximize my potential payouts. The 50/50’s are different because you’re only up against 99 other people so you can take some of the best players without much buyer’s remorse.

Here’s my picks for this week at each position.

QB: Tom Brady, Kirk Cousins, Aaron Rodgers

RB: Ty Montgomery, Duke Johnson Jr., Ezekiel Elliott, LeSean McCoy, Marshawn Lynch

WR: Brandin Cooks, Jarvis Landry, Amari Cooper, Julio Jones

TE: Jordan Reed, George Kittle, Travis Kelce

K: Giorgio Tavecchio, Matt Bryant

D: Ravens, Raiders, Bears

Normally a QB/RB stack would be an unwise decision but I really like pairing Rodgers and Montgomery together because you get every touchdown the Packers score. Montgomery’s ability to catch the ball makes him the ultimate fantasy player and at $6,500 on FanDuel this week, he’s a steal.

Duke Johnson Jr. is the same kind of player as Montgomery, just not in as good a situation. Johnson Jr. can work out of the slot and is apparently guaranteed for more carries this week according to the Browns coaching staff. Plug him in.

Jarvis Landry will likely be slept on this week in terms of ownership in GPP tournaments. Jay Cutler will feel comfortable enough in Adam Gase’s offense to target Landry 10+ times. I even like the idea of doing a Cutler/Landry stack if you have the cash to spend.

George Kittle is my favorite sleeper of the week. He had 5 catches last week and only had 5 points on FanDuel. However, who cares? He’s the number 1 passing option in San Francisco right now. All it takes is a touchdown to take his incredibly low ownership levels and salary ($4,500) for you to get an absolute steal this week and make some big money in GPP.

I hate kickers and defense but this week I can’t not talk about the Bears defense for GPP. Low ownership and the proven ability to lock down a number  1 wideout in Julio Jones last week, I’m a fan of their odds to do it again this week. Sometimes finding a diamond in the rough in the Defense category can pay big dividends in the end. Those of you who took the Jaguars last week know what I’m talking about.

Hope you enjoy and good luck!!
