Duke 86. Lesser Team That Plays In North Carolina 78.

I love this team. I love the Cameron Crazies. I love this coach.

This team hasn’t been as good as I thought. Whether that be injuries, opposing players falling over a certain a Duke players foot or what have you this season hasn’t been as dominant as I thought it would be. But Duke has bounced back and has it’s signature win as they beat North Carolina.

This rivalry is something I’m proud to be a part of. You’re not getting anything like Duke-North Carolina with any other rivalry. As hyped up as this rivalry always is, it always delivers.

Grayson Allen showed out tonight, with 25 points including 7-12 from three. He came to play from the jump. He wasn’t phased by the electricity of this rivalry like some other players *cough* Harry Giles *cough*. He was made for these big games. His showing out party was in the National Championship game against Wisconsin two years ago. We’ve been waiting for this Grayson to show up all year and he finally delivered in the biggest game of the season to date, including a huge dunk and three to seal it.

Jayson Tatum is a man amongst boys. He needs to get it in his brain that he can get anything he wants at the rim because no player at his position can guard him off the dribble. I had just as many points as him in the first half but then he realized that I was sitting on a couch and poured in 19 points in the second half. Once he realizes the nobody can stop him at the rim then his game will continue to get better. He also dunked over Kennedy Meeks and I woke up the entire neighborhood.

Duke showed up tonight. They gave up a lead in the second half but rebounded and pulled out the win despite Justin Jackson playing like Michael Jordan for most of the game. This is a huge win for this years team going forward. They play Clemson Saturday (win), have a tough game at Virginia, come home to Wake Forest and then travel to a flourishing Syracuse team their next four games. They needed that signature win and they got it. Lets go beat Clemson and keep it rolling for the rest of the season.
