After a thrilling win this past Saturday against Augustana college, the Red Dragons head to Framingham State this weekend for a non-league contest.

Framingham State won their season opener just like Cortland so the teams have identical records of 1-0.

What should fans look out for in this game? Will special teams play a huge role?

For the third straight year, the two teams are facing off against one another. Cortland has prevailed all three times with two wins at home and one away. The Red Dragons have been successful in capitalizing on Framingham’s turnovers in the past. Last year, Cortland capitalized on multiple interceptions that were created by the defense.

Keep an eye on Cortland senior William Holscher, in case an important field goal is needed again. Holscher connected on a 31-yard field goal attempt with 18 seconds left in Cortland’s season opener to lift them over Augustana.

The matchup against Framingham State will take place at 12 pm and can be watched through the Cortland Football page on BoxCast.
